MacroDroid makes it easy to automate tasks from your Android tablet or smartphone. MacroDroid’s simple user interface makes it easy to create fully automated tasks with just a few clicks
Here are some examples of MacroDroid’s ability to help you get automated
# Optimize your day with your phone. Turn on Bluetooth to play music in your car when you get out of your car. You can also turn on wifi when you’re near your home.
# Save on roaming charges (automatically turn off your data)
# Increase safety while commuting by reading your notifications (via SMS or Text to Speech), and sending automated replies via email or SMS
# Create custom sound and notification profiles
# Use stopwatches and timers to remind you of certain tasks.
These are just some of the many ways MacroDroid can help make your Android life easier. This is how it works in 3 easy steps:
1. Choose a trigger
The trigger is what signals the macro to begin. MacroDroid has over 70 triggers that can be used to trigger your macro. These include location-based triggers such as cell towers and GPS. c), device status triggers like battery level, app opening/closing, sensor triggers such as shaking, light levels, and so on. and connectivity triggers (like Bluetooth and wifi, as well as Notifications).
Macros can be automatically triggered, but you also have the option to place a shortcut on your homescreen or use the Macrodroid sidebar.
2. Choose the actions you would like to automate.
MacroDroid can perform more than 100 actions that you’d normally do by hand. Connect to your Bluetooth device or wifi device. You can select volume levels, talk text (like your incoming messages or current time), set a timer and dim your screen.
3. Optionally, Configure Constraints.
You can set constraints to limit the power of macrofire when you need it.
You live near your workplace and only wish to have access to the company’s wifi on work days. You can set a restriction to limit when the macro can be invoked. MacroDroid has 50 types of constraints: battery level, connected devices and time and day constraints.
MacroDroid can also be used with Tasker or Locale plugins, which further expands the possibilities.
MacroDroid’s unique interface features a Wizard which guides you through the creation of your first macros.
You can also use an existing template in the template section to customize it to suit your needs.
You can get help from other users through the built-in forum, which makes it easy to learn all about MacroDroid.
